Yu Mei obtained her Ph.D. from Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences (SIBS), Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). She was supervised by Prof. Hongwei Xue, who is an outstanding research in plant science. During her Ph.D. study, Dr. Mei did a systematical study on PIP5K2 and published two first-authored research articles on top journals in this field. She received the excellent doctoral dissertation of CAS in 2013. Dr. Mei is now a post-doctor at Iowa State University.
Review of phosphatidylinositol phosphate kinase in phosphatidylinositol signaling pathway.- Structure and expression pattern analysis of Arabidopsis PIP5K2.- Arabidopsis PIP5K2 is involved in lateral root development through regulating auxin accumulation.- Arabidopsis PIP5K2 is involved in root gravitropism through regualtion of auxin polar transport.- Arabidopsis PIP5K2 is involved in salt tolerance
