This update of the 1998 edition has been revised to include the latest information available on the topic. Ten percent of the data has been revised and over 100 additional isotopes have been added. The elemental data, nuclear charts and gamma-ray energy standards data in the appendices have all been updated and the improved Isotope Explorer version 2.2 software is also included. The 1997 IUPAC recommended heavy element names have been adopted as well as a new Isotope Nuclear Structure Summary Table which summarizes the nuclear structure properties of all nuclei in the Table of Isotopes. The CD-ROM ensures quick, easy searches and an interactive environment in which material can be viewed and presented in several different ways. Access to important related Internet sites is also available, providing further resources for relevant information.
