Ein Bestreben des Autors ist die Entwicklung von Mixed Reality Anwendungen, die der Gesellschaft oder speziellen Zielgruppen zu Gute kommen. Dabei umspannt die vorliegende Sammelhabilitation die Arbeiten des Autors der letzten 10 Jahre. Es wird die Entwicklung von Mixed Reality Anwendungen für die Bereiche Mathematik-, Geometrie- und Physikunterricht, Raumvorstellung und 3D Interaktion beschrieben. Bei der Entwicklung von komplexen Mixed Reality Hardware- und Softwareumgebungen entstehen Fragen zur Skalierbarkeit, Robustheit und Stabilität, zum Design und zu den Kosten der verwendeten Technologie. Daraus ergeben sich wiederum wissenschaftliche Fragestellungen und Weiterentwicklungen. All diese Aspekte werden behandelt.
