The International Working Conference on Stored Product Protection (IWCSPP) is the most influential international conference in the field of stored-product protection. Held every four years in different countries around the world, it is now being held in Estoril, Portugal, at the Estoril Congress Centre, from 27 June to 2 July 2010, under the auspices of the Instituto de Investigação Científica Tropical and the Instituto Superior de Agronomia in Lisbon, Portugal. The idea of the conference was first discussed at an
Entomological Society of America meeting in 1970, and the first conference was held in Savannah (USA) in 1974. Since then, there have been eight others: Nigeria, the USA, Israel, France, Australia, China, Great Britain, Brazil, and now the 10th IWCSPP will be held in Portugal. We expect over 300 participants from more than 40 countries, with the largest number of attendees from Portugal, Australia, China, and the USA.
