A sudden cardiac arrest can strike anyone-and anyone might be the one standing nearby. There's nothing worse than not knowing what to do.

  • Are you afraid of finding yourself in such a situation?
  • Do you want to know how to help someone who's unresponsive?
  • Do you hope someone would help you if you were lying lifeless on the ground?
  • Do you want to understand why immediate action is vital for survival?

This book shows you how to respond correctly in the event of cardiac arrest. Through vivid explanations and personal interviews, you'll learn essential facts about resuscitation-not only the medically correct steps, but also legal, ethical, and philosophical aspects. Voices include survivors, first responders, emergency physicians, a lawyer, an airline captain, a chaplain, a psychotherapist, and intensive care specialists.

This book is for everyone who wants to know how to give first aid during cardiac arrest.
