Megan M. Lockwood, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University and director of the Lupus Program at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Lockwood attended Portland State University and earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed residency in internal medicine at University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Lockwood completed her rheumatology fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Lockwood's clinical and research interests are in systemic lupus erythematosus, pregnancy in rheumatic disease, antiphospholipid syndrome, and osteoporosis. Jamie L. Morgan, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in the division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Morgan received undergraduate degrees in Biology and Spanish Literature from Swarthmore College. She attended medical school at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and completed residency and MFM fellowship training at Parkland/UT Southwestern. Her academic and research efforts focus on obstetrical quality and safety, maternal disease states in pregnancy, and optimization of postpartum care. Dr. Morgan currently serves as the Maternal Medical Director for UT Southwestern’s William P. Clements University Hospital and as the Deputy Medical Director for TexasAIM (Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health), a state program that facilitates implementation of maternal quality improvement bundles to reduce preventable maternal morbidity. Bonnie L. Bermas, MD is the Dr. Morris Ziff Distinguished Professor in Rheumatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Bermas attended Princeton University and received her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She completed her internal medicine training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and her rheumatology fellowship at both the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and the National Institutes of Health in Washington DC. Dr. Bermas has focused her career on the management of rheumatic diseases during pregnancy and lactation. As a clinician educator, she has written and lectured extensively in this area and is a member of the American College of Rheumatology core writing team for the Reproductive Health in Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Diseases Guidelines.
