Ber Oomen is Executive Director of the European Specialist Nurses Organisations (ESNO). He graduated in 1981 from the School of Nursing at Saint Ignatius Hospital in Breda, Netherlands and prolonged his study in mental health nurses and graduated in 1988. In 2005 he took the position of secretary of the National Psychiatric Nursing Association (NVPV) and in this role he was responsible for establishing the European Psychiatric Nursing Association: Horatio. During that activity he was responsible in creating the network of European specialist nurses organisations and was co-founder of the European Specialist Nurses Organization (ESNO) and from 2010 to 2017 he was ESNO Executive Secretary and currenty Executive Director.  He is responsible for the overall association management, participant in European NGO's and European institutional working groups such as Jonied Actions on Health workforce, several Erasmus plus projects and rerpesenting the nurses in the Europan Medicine Agency (EMA). He is project leader on cross specialist health issues such as Biosimilar, Vaccine and AMR information and other nursing communication guides. Silvana Gastaldi Beginning with a master's degree in biology and then in nursing, Silvana Gastaldi embarked on a diverse career journey. She served as a consultant, facilitating ISO 9001 and ISO 14000. Transitioning to the NHS, as a nurse she worked across various departments while concurrently teaching for hospital certifications. Her humanitarian journey started in 2014, leading herto international organizations where she played different roles in emergency responses, outbreak management, and healthcare training. Academic pursuits continued with a master's in nursing management and coordination, disaster medicine, Healthcare Associated Infections prevention and a research contract on SARS-CoV-2, IPC and AMR. She collaborates with WHO and national health bodies focused on developing IPC programs, further aligning with her current scientific collaboration on IPC topics with the Italian Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) and humanitarian organizations.
