Manashjit Gogoi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong. He obtained Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, M.Tech. in Bioelectronics from Tezpur University and B. E. in Chemical Engineering from Gauhati University. His area of research interests are nanomedicine, biosensors, microfluidics, point-of-care devices, cancer drug delivery, magnetic nanoparticles, and hyperthermia. Dr. Gogoi has led and collaborated on several research and development projects, including work on biosensors for early cancer detection and nanocomposite films for pesticide sensing. Based on his research, he has published 3 Indian patents, got 2 Design registered, 33 research articles, 22 book chapters, and edited 2 books on Biosensors and number of conference papers. He also contributes to academic leadership at NEHU through departmental coordination, curriculum development, and laboratory establishment. Sanjukta Patra is a faculty in the Department of Medical Sciences and Technology at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Prior to this she was at Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati for a period of more than seventeen years. Her research interests include diagnostics and therpeutics, enzyme and microbial technologies, biomolecules for biomedical applications. Dr. Sanjukta has led and collaborated on several research and development projects, including sensor development for tuberculosis and candida, whole cell biosensor for small molecule on various platforms. She has 5 granted Indian patents, 70 research articles, 30 book chapters, edited 3 books and 75 conference papers to her credit.
