Chronic back pain is widespread, and almost every working person experiences problems with their musculoskeletal system at least once in their working life. This raises the question of which treatment is the best choice for back problems. This book distinguishes between active multimodal pain therapy and physiotherapy/physical therapy for chronic back pain. The evaluation revealed significant differences between the groups, and the results speak for themselves.
Christoph Andreas Oratsch, MSc., has been responsible for the physiotherapy aspect of multimodal pain therapy at Klagenfurt Hospital since 2012, with a focus on chronic back pain. He completed his MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Salzburg in 2017 and provides an insight into his daily work in this book.
