"Recent Therapeutic Targets for the Prevention and Management of Diabetic Complications: Neuropathy" covers recent research and therapeutic approaches of this diabetic complication for the management of diabetes. It is a detailed reference to understand the pathogenesis of diabetes to alleviate the overall complications of neuropathy to improve patient care. It is uniquely focused on the different aspects of neuropathy with a focus on the molecular and biological pathways (therapeutic target) to detect an early diagnosis to better manage the disease and improve patient care. The book is useful to anyone in the field particularly those who do research investigations, and day-to-day practice in the area of diabetes.

Dr. Shahidul Islam, MD, Professor, PhD, Department of Biochemistry, University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is an expert in diabetes and has achieved a number of awards including the International Endocrine Society. He has over 30 years of research and teaching experience, has published in 20 international peer reviewed journals, is an “Editor-in-Chief” of the “World Journal of Diabetes”.
