Understanding Renal Biochemistry: Insights from Nephrotic Syndrome to Systemic Renal Dynamics provides a comprehensive exploration of nephrotic syndrome and related renal disorders. Tailored for academicians, young researchers, and graduate/postgraduate students worldwide in fields such as renal research, chemical pathology, medical biochemistry, pharmacology, laboratory science, and pathology, this book offers cutting-edge insights into novel diagnostic approaches, underlying pathophysiology, and effective management strategies. Enriched with real-world case studies, it bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application, empowering readers to advance their understanding and make informed decisions in the diagnosis and treatment of renal diseases. The book provides a well-structured exploration of renal biochemistry and related disciplines, guiding readers through foundational concepts to advanced research and future directions in nephrology. Authored by experts, chapters cover topics such as renal biomarkers, diagnostic precision, therapeutic interventions, and management strategies, with case studies illustrating real-world applications. Each chapter begins with a clear outline, incorporates strategic case studies, and concludes with comprehensive summaries, ensuring readers can easily grasp core concepts and benefit from practical insights, enhancing their learning experience and retention of knowledge. With each chapter supplemented by figures, tables, and case studies, this book provides a comprehensive resource for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of renal pathophysiology and its clinical management. For scientists and researchers, the book fills a crucial gap by providing a comprehensive resource on renal pathophysiology, covering both glomerular and tubular dysfunctions, thus offering valuable insights and the latest advancements in nephrology research. For clinicians, it serves as an essential reference, offering extensive information on relevant biochemical markers for disease diagnosis, providing practical guidance to enhance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.

Emmanuel Kwaku Ofori (PhD) is currently an Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Chemical Pathology at the University of Ghana Medical School. He obtained his PhD in July 2018 from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. He teaches several disciplines in the health sciences (medical, nursing, veterinary, and laboratory sciences, amongst others). He has supervised and mentored many undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research focuses on lipidomics, metabolic medicine, and steroidal adaptations to diet and exercise. He aims to become an international expert on translational research into metabolic diseases. He has about 68 publications to his credit. He has also presented several abstracts at global conferences. He is the Academic Editor for PLOS One and the Journal of Diabetes Research (John Wiley). Seth Kwabena Amponsah (PhD) is an Associate Professor of Medical Pharmacology at the University of Ghana Medical School. He has held postdoctoral fellowships under the AQ1 BANGA-Africa Project and BSU III (DANIDA, Denmark). He has over 13 years of experience in teaching and research. His research focuses on clinical pharmacology (infectious disease and antimicrobial stewardship): prudent use of antimicrobials, antimicrobial level monitoring, and efficacy of antimicrobials in patients. He has experience in population pharmacokinetic modelling, noncompartment pharmacokinetic estimation, and pharmacokinetic evaluation of new drug formulations. He has published over 60 research articles, 3 books, 20 book chapters, and several conference abstracts. He is an Academic Editor for PLOS One and an Associate Editor for Pan African Medical Journal.
