Enhancement Orthodontics: Theory and Practice provides a concise and compact clinical guide to achieving esthetic results through orthodontics. Challenging the accepted wisdom of the past, it offers a fresh look at orthodontic treatment, using a patient-centered paradigm for enhancing the appearance, function, and health of the dentofacial features. A mixture of clinical cases and decision-making coaching delivers an easy-to-follow guide to the prevailing clinical scenarios and how to treat them. Dwelling not merely on the intra-oral results, Enhancement Orthodontics demonstrates how to employ whole-face analysis to improve overall dentofacial appearance.

Marc Ackerman is a third generation orthodontist in full-time private practice. He is the Director of Orthodontics at Children's Hospital Boston in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of the editorial review boards of Orthodontics and Craniofacial Research and the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Ackerman is the orthodontic section editor of the Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. Dr. Ackerman is a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists and a Fellow in the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. He is the co-recipient of the 2004 B.F. and Helen Dewel Award from the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
