This textbook aims to focus on the nutritional issues in both the clinical and community setting. After the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a rise in various nutritional issues due to lack of nutrition related knowledge. This book emphasizes various nutritional issues concerning all age groups beginning from the young to the old. Essentials of Clinical and Public Health Nutrition is primarily targeted for the post-graduate and graduate students, and those who are pursuing research in the field of public health nutrition and clinical nutrition. In addition, research scholars and scientists pursuing research in various fields of clinical nutrition, public health nutrition, sports nutrition, food insecurity and food labeling may use this book. Dr. Amal Mitra is an internationally recognized scientist and leader in the field of public health.  He has a dual background in medicine and public health. He was a pioneer in developing a Master s degree program in epidemiology and biostatistics at The University of Southern Mississippi in 1998. He was the Founding Program Director of Public Health in the Faculty of Medicine at Kuwait University from 2013-2016. 

Dr. Divya Vanoh is a lecturer in the Dietetics Program, School of Health Sciences in Universiti Sains Malaysia. She is currently the Chairman of the Dietetics Program. Dr. Divya has experience teaching several subjects related to clinical and community nutrition. Her research focuses on nutrition for bariatric surgery, hemodialysis patients, nutrition management for polycystic ovarian syndrome patients, and geriatric nutrition.
