This book highlights the significance of nanosensors for applications in the biomedical and healthcare sector. The topics emphasize the fundamental principles of nanosensors, their fabrication process, and their applications in different areas, such as biosensing, point-of-care (POC) development, drug delivery, biomedical imaging, and tissue engineering. The chapters cover the advancements in these areas by considering personalized medicine, telemedicine, and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven biosensing strategies. The book not only focuses on the advancements, but also highlights the challenges in this area from both technical and regulatory perspectives. Its content is written by experienced subject experts in a manner suited to the general public and researchers who are interested in nanotechnology and its applications in biomedical.

Dr. Deepak Kala, a postdoctoral researcher at the CENTERA laboratory, Institute of High Pressure Physics, PAS, Warsaw, works in biosensor development. He earned his M.Tech. in Biotechnology and Ph.D. in Nanotechnology from Amity University Haryana. With a background in biotechnology and nanotechnology, he focuses on developing practical medical solutions. His work includes electrochemical and Metamaterials-based biosensors, contributing to advancements in diagnostics. Dr. Harsh Kumar, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre of Advanced Technologies, Faculty of Science, University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. He earned his Ph.D. in Food Technology from the School of Bioengineering and Food Technology at Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, Himachal Pradesh, India. His work involves developing electrochemical immunosensor for the detection of antibiotics/toxins in food items. Dr. Kumar has a M.Sc. in Microbiology and a B.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology. Dr. Nadeem Akhtar is a research scientist at CBS Bio Platforms Inc., Canada, using biotechnology to create sustainable feed and food solutions. With a strong background in academia and research, he has worked on innovative approaches in agriculture, nanobiotechnology, bioactives, nutraceuticals, and alternative proteins. Previously, he was a Research Associate at the University of Guelph and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Guelph and Waterloo. His work focuses on making nutrition more sustainable and improving food systems for the future.
