Jacopo Demurtas, MD, MEd, PhD, is a family physician working in the rural setting of Capalbio, located in the southern region of Tuscany.
His research interests focus on the application of digital technologies in primary systems, with a particular emphasis on implementing computerized decision support systems and developing mobile applications to enhance patient self-management.
A teacher of remote triage and consultation,  he is coordinator of the Family Medicine Specialty Training in Siena.

His research interests are in the field of systematic reviews and meta-analysis, geriatrics, palliative care, medical triage, eHealth and ICT, organization of care, medical education.

He is a teacher of remote triage and consultation in several Family Medicine courses. He took part in the development of COVIDGuide, an app for patients symptoms assessmentand triage in COVID scenarios. He published several research articles in peer-reviewed papers.
