This essential book, amid the rapid shift toward hybrid imaging, empowers radiographers, technologists and practitioners to build on solid fundamentals, strengthen patient care, and refine advanced techniques.

Uniqueness: This book provides a comprehensive perspective on hybrid imaging and patient management, offering insights not only from physicians and radiographers but also from other key professionals, such as physicists, psychologists, and other interdisciplinary experts. Specifically tailored for radiographers yet equally valuable for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of hybrid imaging technology and techniques it fills a critical void in current educational resources.

Structured Approach: Organized into eighteen chapters, the book offers a clear, methodical framework that starts with foundational concepts to introduce the reader to the subject and builds progressively toward more advanced topics, including specialized skills and patient-centered imaging practices. It is an excellent reference for professionals at any stage of their career, from beginners to experts.

Target Audience: Designed for radiographers, students, residents, and practitioners exploring cutting-edge hybrid imaging technologies, this text bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge of instrumentation and its real-world application in both daily practice and patient care.

Filling a gap: By comprehensively covering both hybrid imaging and patient management from a radiographer s perspective, this textbook serves as an indispensable educational resource. It equips readers with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the growing demand for expertise and advanced, patient-tailored imaging in this dynamic field.

Luca Camoni is the Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Spedali Civili di Brescia. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the department, managing the staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Concurrently, he holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of Brescia, contributing significantly to the advancement of nuclear medicine education and research. Dr. Camoni has an extensive research background, with numerous publications in the field of nuclear medicine. He actively participates in international congresses and is involved in multicenter clinical trials. Furthermore, he chairs the Technologist Board of the Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine (AIMN) and previously served as vice-chair of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) Technologist Committee.

Luigi Mansi, Chair of the Section Health and Development of the Interuniversity Research Center for Sustainable development (CIRPS), has been Professor, Head and Chair of Nuclear Medicine at the Second University of Naples (Italy) in the period 1992- 2017. Involved in nuclear medicine since 1972, he has been a pioneer in PET studies in the first 80 s, as Special Expert at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, US. Member and Deputy Dean of the European School of Nuclear Medicine (2001-2014), he s Honorary Member of the Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine Molecular Imaging and Therapy, having held several institutional roles since the 80s. Chair or Speaker at many international meetings, consensus conferences, and workshops, he has been member of national and international scientific committees. Author of more than 400 papers, around 200 indexed in PubMed, he edited numerous books (already 9 for Springer), being or having been editor in Chief, co-Editor and member of the Editorial Board of many Scientific Journals.
