Dr. Devavarapu Kasi Viswa Prasad is a professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Hyderabad, Telangana. He earned his medical degree from Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh, and holds dual MSc degrees in psychology and medical biochemistry along with a PhD in medical biochemistry from Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. With over 25 years of academic experience in biochemistry, he has guided numerous postgraduate students in their academic and research pursuits. His research explores the genetic basis of idiopathic generalized epilepsy, oxidative stress, and effects of antiepileptic drugs. He has an extensive publication record in peer reviewed journals, has authored 15 book chapters, and has presented his work at prominent scientific conferences. He is a certified Member of the Indian Board of Clinical Biochemistry (MIBCB). He has served on institutional ethics committees and is an editorial board member for several national and international journals. Dr. Sitara Roy brings over 12 years of research experience in human genetics, with academic appointments at institutions including Harvard University, UC San Diego, and TIFR. She earned her PhD studying the genetics of brain stroke and later transitioned to gene editing and CRISPR during postdoctoral work. Her research spans gene regulation, expression, and editing, with a notable publication in Science Advances on gene editing. Currently at Harvard, she investigates gene function and manipulation to advance understanding of cancer biology. Her interdisciplinary expertise—from genetic foundations to cutting-edge molecular techniques—positions her to contribute authoritatively to the evolving landscape of cancer research.
