The goal of this course is to present general considerations regarding culture and spirituality and to discuss related issues that may arise when caring for patients. Cultural beliefs and values, the influence of culture on health and health care decisions, transcultural issues in nursing, complementary therapies and the relationship between spirituality and health will be explored.
