Painful aching areas that do not respond to local treatment often have remote trigger points, that refer pain to them. They are most often found in muscles, but also in fascia, periosteum, tendons, ligaments, and skin and are caused by such factors as physical and psychological stress, trauma and lack of rest. The Concise Book of Trigger Points has been written for the student and early practitioner of massage / bodywork, physical therapy, and acupuncture. Containing full-colour illustrations, it is unusually clear, accessible and readable.

Amanda Williams (Illustrator) graduated from Middlesex University with a first-class honours degree in Graphic Design (Scientific Illustration).
