He served a rotating internship at University's Hospital then completed a Pediatric Residency at Children's Hospital of Austin at Brackenridge. He continued his post-doctoral training at Vanderbilt University as a neurology resident with special qualification in Child Neurology. He became a clinical instructor for the division of Child Neurology and a Neurophysiology/Epilepsy fellow in the Department of Neurology at Vanderbilt.
