This pack contains an atlas and neuroanatomy computer disk. The atlas provides Weil-stained sections through the spinal cord, hindbrain, midbrain and forebrain while the functional neuranatomy disk uses flashing colour to trace the trajectory of motor impulses from sensory stimuli.
This pack contains the atlas and a functional neuroanatomy computer disk. The atlas provides access to Weil-stained sections through the spinal cord, hindbrain, midbrain and forebrain (in 3 planes). All structures are labeled with numbers, allowing users to quiz themselves on the names and the functional connections of each area before the information appears on the screen. An index lists each section where a particular structure can be seen. The functional neuranatomy disk uses flashing colour to trace the complete trajectory of motor impulses or signals from sensory stimuli. Each step along the pathway is cross-referenced to the atlas, connections of relevant strucutres. Shown are all the major sensory systems, cranial nerves, and motor systems. An additional section, using case studies to demonstrate clinical correlations of major neurologic disorders, is in preparation.
