Spherical agglomeration is a particle engineering technique by which crystallization and agglomeration can be carried out simultaneously in one step to transform crystals directly into a compacted spherical form. Spherical crystallization technique transforms directly the fine particles produced in the crystallization or in the reaction process into a spherical shape. Agglomerates exhibit improved secondary characteristics like flow ability and compressibility so that direct tableting or coating is possible without further processing.
Vankadari, Rama Mohan Gupta
Dr.V.Rama Mohan Gupta, Principal & Professor, Pulla Reddy Institute of Pharmacy, Hyderabad, India has extensively worked on Particle Engineering Technologies. His contributions include modification of Physical properties of various poorly compressible and soluble API's by spherical agglomeration, crystallization and co-agglomeration techniques.
