He has received academic awards such as the Young Investigator Award from the World Federation of Sleep Research and Sleep Research Societies Society, and is a member of the National System of Researchers (Level 2) of the National Council of Science and Technology (México). He is also the author of The Endocannabinoid System: Genetics, Biochemistry, Brain Disorders, and Therapy (Elsevier, May 2017).
