This aims to provide a practical comprehensive account of all aspects of neonatology. It is written by an international team of contributors from the UK, Canada, Belgium, Australia, Denmark, the USA and Hungary. In 1987 the first edition received the Astra Prize for Medical Writing. New features for the second edition include: 10 new contributors, new chapters on antenatal diagnosis, care of the normal neonate, infants of diabetic mothers, and bowel disorders.
