Dr. Piattelli is Full Professor in the School of Dentistry, Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences (UniCamillus) in Rome, Italy. He was Full Professor in the Dental School of the University of Chieti-Pescara, Italy, from 1997 to 2021, and an Associate Professor in the same University from 1988 to 1997. Dr. Piattelli is a Member of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO), and of the Continental European Division (CED) della International Association for Dental Research (IADR). He is a Member of the Board of the Journal of Oral Pathology and Medicine (1993-1999), of Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research (2002 - present), Implant Dentistry (2014 - present), and of Clinical Oral Investigations (2014 - present). Dr. Piattelli has co-authored 917 papers in international peer-reviewed Journals (SCOPUS, March 2022); most of these papers dealt with Implant Dentistry and Biomaterials.
