Lourdes M. Cuellar, MS, RPh, FASHP, serves as Administrative Director of Pharmacy, Clinical Support Services and Medical Outpatient Clinics at TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. She received both her B.Sc. Pharm and M.S. in Pharm Administration from the University of Houston. She is a past-president of the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP), Gulf Coast Society of Health-System Pharmacists & of the TSHP Research & Education Foundation. Ms. Cuellar has served on various state, local and ASHP councils, committees and task forces. She has served as a Texas delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates since 1998. She is currently serving on the Texas Statewide Health Coordinating Council by appointment from former Governor Rick Perry. She is an adjunct Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the University of Houston and the University of the Incarnate Word and serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students & residents. Ms. Cuellar has been the recipient of several leadership awards including the TSHP Distinguished Service Award. The TIRR Pharmacy Department has been the recipient of the TSHP Collaborative Practice Award, University of Houston Health-System Preceptor Site of the Year Award & several pharmacists have received Preceptor of the Year awards. Her professional interests are in pharmacy practice management, leadership development, health policy, & alleviation of health disparities. She is recognized as a Fellow of the ASHP. Diane B. Ginsburg, PhD, RPh, FASHP, completed her B.S. in Pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 1984 and a M.S. at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in 1990. She completed a two-year ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy administration in 1987 at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. She received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in higher education administration in the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently a Clinical Professor in the Division of Health Outcomes and Pharmacy Practice and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, College of Pharmacy. She has been active with ASHP and served as President and a 3-year term on the Board of Directors. She has served ASHP in several capacities including: Chair, Council on Educational Affairs, AJHP Editorial Advisory Board, Texas Delegate, Co-Coordinator National Clinical Skills Competition. She is Co-Editor of Infectious Disease Pharmacotherapy Self-Assessment and an author and editor of ASHP's Preceptor's Handbook for Pharmacists. She also served as Chair of the ASHP Research and Education Foundation Board of Directors.
