This is an angiographic CD-ROM with a bound atlas, created from a collection of retinographs and images in fluorescein and indocyanine green. It offers diagnostic approach in interpreting specialized examinations. Each pathology of the retina is treated, according to a standard plan: general information (epidemiology, etiology, physiopathology), diagnostics (clinical and angiographic), evolution and prognosis, and treatment (including indications and laser photocoagulation techniques). Identical to the printed version, the CD-ROM is its functional counterpart. For example, the user is able to extend the areas of interest he identifies so that he can easily find his way through the diagnostic differences of the diseases. A section for self-assessment specific to the CD-ROM enables the ophthalmologist to add to and validate his knowledge.
Papillary anomalies: malformations and congenital anomalies; papilloma like tumours or juxta-papilloma-like tumours; papillary swelling; papillary cavities. Anomalies in retinal blood vessels: malformations and congenital anomalies; arterial occlusion; veinal occlusion; miscellaneous occlusions; angiographies of hypertensive and/or arteriosclerotic patients. Macular anomalies in the young: congenital and/or hereditary conditions; central serous retinopathy; etiologies of choroid neo-vessels; traumatisms. Macular anomalies in the elderly: macular degeneration associated with age, without exudate; sub-retinal deposits; vitreomacular pathology in the elderly patient. White spots on the fundus of the eye: single (o very few) chronic lesions; multiple chronic spots; acute inflammatory spots; acute non-inflammatory spots. Pigmented tumours and pigment anomalies: pigmented tumours on the fundus of the eye; peripheral pigment anomalies; central pigment anomalies. Angiographic anomalies in diabetic patients: diabetic maculopathy; ischemic retinopathy. Miscellaneous anomalies: diagnosis of inflammation at the fundus of the eye; diagnosis of cystoid macular oedemas; diagnosis of choroid folding or creasing; iatrogenic pathology of the fundus of the eye. angiographic techniques (only in the atlas): fluorescence in angiography; indocyanine angiography.
