Deborah Hunt, PhD, RN, is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the College of New Rochelle where she serves on several internal committees including the School of Nursing Team Committee, the Undergraduate Committee, the Program Effectiveness Committee, and several 'external' college committees including the Council of Faculty and the Academic Affairs Committee. She is the co-founder and co-director of the Nurse Advocacy Forum at The College of New Rochelle. She is on the regional editorial advisory board at Advance for Nurses Northeast Region. She is a member of Community Board # 10 in the Bronx and the chairperson of its Health and Human Services Committee. She was recently accepted a a fellow in the New York Academy of Medicine. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and received the Zeta Omega research award for her doctoral dissertation and was the Sigma Theta Tau's Zeta Omega Scholar from 2010-2011. She earned her doctoral degree from Adelphi University in October 2011 and her MS degree in Nursing Administration from the College of New Rochelle, and a BSN from Mercy College
