Henry Purcell, MB, PhD, is a Senior Fellow in Cardiology and Director of the Cardiovascular Pathology of Obesity Research Group at Royal Brompton Hospital, London. His interests include conducting trials in cardiovascular medicine, heart disease in diabetes and circadian patterns of disease. Dr. Purcell has edited the books Specialist Training in Cardiology and Acute Coronary Syndrome, and is the Editor-in-Chief of British Journal of Cardiology. He is also a reviewer for many major journals and the International Society of Hypertension.
