Judith Fields, CCS, CCSP, CPCH, CPC accomplished teaching educator, Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College, Harlan, Kentucky has been an adjunct college educator since 2005. She has taught keyboarding, medical terminology, medical billing, and medical coding classes. Her focus currently is medical coding classes for ICD-9-CM and HCPCS. She is a member of the Adjunct Faculty Council and Office System Technology Advisory Council at the college/SKCTCS. She is employed full-time for a large nationally recognized hospital performing medical coding and is a member of the AHIMA and AAPC national professional healthcare organizations. She has 21 years of experience in various healthcare roles as a HIM medical coding supervisor, Coding Consultant, Medical Coding and Billing for physician and hospital based, and Medical Assisting. Judith loves her career and enjoys teaching her students and seeing them excel in this healthcare career.
