She has been involved with Learning Disability nursing practice and education since 1973 and has worked as a practitioner, a clinical teacher, a researcher and a university lecturer, all within the Portsmouth area. KAREN JEFFEREYS State Registered Dietician, MSc Applied Psychology (Learning Disabilites) is Chief Dietician, Portsmouth Healthcare NHS Trust. Karen manages a team of dieticians to provide a specialist service for children with learning difficulties. She has been responsible for initiating numerous service developments to improve the health of people with learning difficulties through diet and health promotion.
