This proceedings book presents selected papers from the 2nd International Conference on Mechatronics, Robotics, and Control Systems (MRCS2025), hosted by Dalian Jiaotong University, held during August 26–28, 2025, in Nanxun, China. This book offers a thorough exploration of trends and research across three key areas: mechatronics and intelligent robotics; control systems and automation; and computational intelligence and data-driven systems. This book serves as a valuable resource for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers aiming to enhance the field of control systems and electrical engineering.

Zaharuddin Mohamed received the B.Eng. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia, in 1993. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom (UK), in control systems engineering in 1995 and 2003, respectively. He is currently Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. His research interest includes control of mechatronic systems, robotics, mechatronics, and vibration control. He has published more than 100 journal articles. He serves as Editor of Applications of Modeling and Simulation journal and Associate Editors/Editorial Board Members of several other journals. He is currently Vice President of ASIASIM Federation and Executive Board Member of the International Society of Mechanical System Dynamics. Huajun Dong currently serves as Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at Dalian Jiaotong University. He has won several honorary titles, including the Excellent Teacher at Dalian Jiaotong University, the Outstanding Post-doctoral Researcher in Henan Province, and the Third Prize for Excellent Papers in Natural Science in Liaoning Province. He has also been included in the list of the Thousand-Level Personnel of the “Hundred, Thousand, and Ten - Thousand Talents Project” in Liaoning Province. He is Reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Referee for Transactions of China Electrotechnical Society, and Committee Member of Journal of East China Jiaotong University. He has published multiple papers in top-tier international academic journals and conferences, obtained 2 authorized international invention patents, and undertaken a number of scientific research projects. Mohd Ashraf Ahmad received his first degree in B.Eng. electrical mechatronics and master degree in M.Eng. mechatronics and automatic control from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) in 2006 and 2008, respectively. In 2015, he received a Ph.D. in informatics (systems science) from Kyoto University. Currently, he is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, University Malaysia Pahang (UMP). His current research interests are model-free control, control of mechatronic systems, nonlinear system identification, and vibration control. He has been serving Associate Editor for the International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering since 2016, Applications of Modelling and Simulation since 2017, and Journal of Future Robot Life since 2019. He has been listed as 2% of the Stanford University's world’s top scientists in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
