This new volume explores the role of blockchain technology in promoting higher effectiveness
in new business modeling in different industries, considering it as a key enabler of Industry 5.0
solutions that incorporate lean, transparent, traceable, and trustworthy mechanisms not only in
logistics but also in other aspects of business processes.
The volume looks at the incorporation of blockchain technology in conjunction with artificial
intelligence in diverse business sectors. Chapters consider the use of blockchain technology in
the banking and finance sector; in the fashion industry; in the tourism, travel, and hospitality
industries; in the national defense industry; for advertising and marketing; and, of course, in
the logistics industry for enhancing green supply chains with blockchain technology, where it is
being used to bring new levels of trust between trading partners and to promote end-to-end
visibility.
The volume looks at how blockchain technology is revolutionizing many industries by providing
the means to automate processes, eliminate intermediaries, and provide real-time data access,
thus reducing administrative burdens, minimizing errors, and improving overall efficiency.
Richa Chauhan, PhD, MBA, is Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at the Jaypee Business School at the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India. With more than 14 years as an academician, she has contributed to many research endeavors on emotional intelligence, spirituality, indigenous management, blockchain, and consumer behavior. She has authored papers published in many national and international journals. Dr. Chauhan earned her MBA from ICFAI University, Dehradun, and PhD in Management from Banasthali Vidyapith, India. Vidhi Kaul, PhD, is a Visiting Faculty at Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan, India. She was formerly Assistant Professor at S. S. Jain Subodh P. G. Mahila Mahavidhyalaya, Jaipur, India, as well as at St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, India, where she headed the Department of Business Administration from 2012–2014. With teaching experience of more than 12 years, she was also actively involved in student career counseling and has contributed to a book on personality development. She has published a number of research papers in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed chapters in books. Dr. Kaul completed her master’s and doctorate degrees in Commerce at the P.G. School of Commerce, University of Rajasthan, India.
