This book gathers selected high-quality papers presented at the 2nd International Conference on Networks, Communications and Intelligent Computing (NCIC 2024), held during November 22–25, 2024, in Beijing. The proceeding of NCIC 2024 targets a mixed audience of academicians and industry practitioners who are deeply involved in their respective technical fields. This book offers a platform for scholars and researchers to present their findings, methodologies, and applications in the fields. Readers will find a diverse range of topics including advancements in 6G, IoT implementations, green networking practices, and the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing networking efficiency.

The primary beneficiaries of this book are professionals, researchers, and academics in the fields of networks, communications, and intelligent computing, as well as students pursuing advanced studies in these areas. The contents are curated to enhance knowledge, foster innovation, and encourage the practical application of emerging technologies in the industry.

Additionally, the proceedings are not only a record of the conference's scholarly papers but also serve as a valuable resource for ongoing research and development activities within these cutting-edge technological domains.

Dr. Zhaohui Yang completed his B.S. in 2014 at Chien-Shiung Wu Honors College, Southeast University, and earned his Ph.D. in Communication and Information System from the National Mobile Communications Research Laboratory, Southeast University in 2018. He has since held distinguished postdoctoral positions at King’s College London and University College London. Currently, he is an esteemed young professor at Zhejiang University's College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering and a research scientist at Zhejiang Lab. Dr. Yang specializes in the integration of communication, sensing, and computation with a focus on federated learning, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, UAV, and NOMA technologies. His pioneering work in distributed AI and mobile communications is recognized globally, notably through his significant contributions to 6G white papers and technological standards.   Editorial Roles: Dr. Yang serves as an associate editor for multiple top-tier journals including IEEE Communications Letters, IET Communications, and EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking. He has also guest edited for IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications, and IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications.   Gang Sun (Senior Member, IEEE) is a full professor of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. His research interests include network virtualization, cloud computing, high performance computing, parallel and distributed systems, ubiquitous/pervasive computing, IoT and blockchain. He has (co)authored more than 180 technical publications including paper in refereed journals and conferences, invited papers and presentations and book chapters. He has been a visiting fellow at The Australian National University (2015-2016). He is a senior member of IEEE/IEEE Computer Society. He has also edited special issues at top journals, such as IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine, IEEE Internet of Things Magazine, Future Generation Computer Systems and Multimedia Tool and Applications. He is an editor of Discover Internet of Things journal and a regional editor (Asia) of Computing & AI Connect journal. He has served as reviewers of IEEE Journal on Selected Area of Communications, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, IEEE Communications Letters, Information Fusion, Future Generation Computer Systems, Journal of Network and Computer Applications, Journal of Supercomputing, Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems, Computers and Electrical Engineering, Chinese Journal of Electronics. He has served as General Chair, General Co-chair, Program Chair, Publicity Chair, Technical Track Chair and TPC Member for international conferences 15 times.
