Dr. Imad Aboudrar, born in Agadir, Morocco, is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Higher School of Technology in Dakhla, part of Ibn Zohr University. His academic journey in electrical engineering began with a Master of Science degree from Mohammed V University in Rabat, obtained in 2016, followed by the completion of his Ph.D. in 2021. Dr. Aboudrar has made significant contributions to the academic community, notably through his active roles in organizing and participating in scientific committees for major conferences, such as IEEE ICEIT 2020 and IEEE CISTEM 2024. With a publication portfolio exceeding 18 papers, including book chapters, international journals, and presentations at conferences and workshops, Dr. Aboudrar has established himself as a prolific researcher and academic. His expertise is further recognized through his roles as a reviewer for prestigious journal publishers like IEEE, Springer, and Elsevier, where he contributes to the advancement of knowledge in his field. Before his foray into academia, Dr. Aboudrar honed his industry skills as an R&D Electrified Powertrain Engineer at FEV North Africa, where he worked on Stellantis Projects in North America. This industry experience has enriched his academic perspective, particularly in areas of practical application. Dr. Aboudrar's research interests are diverse encompassing E-mobility, the production of green hydrogen, and the control of smart energy microgrids. His work in these areas underscores a deep commitment to developing sustainable solutions in electrical engineering, focusing on innovative approaches to energy use and generation in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. His expertise and contributions are not only invaluable to his students and peers but also play a significant role in shaping the future of sustainable energy practices.
Dr. Farhad Ilahi Bakhsh, a Senior Member of IEEE, completed his B. Tech in Electrical Engineering and M. Tech in Power Systems & Drives at Aligarh Muslim University, India, in 2010 and 2012. He earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2017, where he developed a notable method for wind energy system grid integration. His work on an automatic solar tracking system has been recognized by various IEEE chapters and technology centers in India. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India, and is the founder and Counselor of its IEEE Student Branch. Dr. Bakhsh has received international acclaim, including the "10 for 10 Typhoon HIL Award" from Switzerland and has delivered numerous keynote speeches and lectures globally. He has over 80 publications in reputed international journals and conferences, authored a Springer book, and contributed to more than 10 book chapters. His work has been awarded multiple best paper awards at international conferences and holds patents in India, Australia, and South Africa. Recently, he received the "Award of Excellence in Research" from VALLWAY International. He has served as an editor and guest editor for various journals including IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, and Distributed Generation & Alternative Energy Journal. His research interests include Variable Frequency Transformers, Renewable Energy Systems, Multilevel Converters, Alternate Energy Vehicles, and Multi-phase Drives.
Dr. Anand Nayyar received Ph.D (Computer Science) from Desh Bhagat University in 2017 in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks, Swarm Intelligence and Network Simulation.
