This book presents high-quality research papers presented at the 6th International Conference on Sustainable and Innovative Solutions for Current Challenges in Engineering and Technology (ICSISCET 2024) held at Madhav Institute of Technology & Science (MITS), Gwalior, India, during October 26-27, 2024. The book extensively covers recent research in artificial intelligence (AI) that knit together nature-inspired algorithms, evolutionary computing, fuzzy systems, computational intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, etc., which is very useful while dealing with real problems due to their model-free structure, learning ability, and flexible approach. These techniques mimic human thinking and decision-making abilities to produce systems that are intelligent, efficient, cost-effective, and fast. The book provides a friendly and informative treatment of the topics which makes this book an ideal reference for both beginners and experienced researchers.

Manjaree Pandit holds an M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Maulana Azad College of Technology, Bhopal (1989), and a Ph.D. from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (2001). She is the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at MITS, Gwalior. She is a senior IEEE member and she has published over 70 papers in well-known international journals and serves as the Editor of Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence. She has been recognized as an outstanding reviewer by Elsevier and received the Top Peer Reviewer award from the international reviewer database site Publons (Clarivate Analytics) for being in the top 1% of reviewers in Engineering for the year 2017–2019 and the year 2018–2019 and Top Peer Reviewer award by Publons for being in top 1% of reviewers in the cross field in the year 2018–2019. Manoj Kumar Gaur is working as a professor and head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, associate proctor, and incharge of the Institute Industry Interaction Cell at Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior, India. He has made substantial contributions to the fields of solar thermal energy, solar distillation, and heat and mass transfer applications. He possesses eighteen years of teaching experience in postgraduate and undergraduate classes. He has authored three books titled “Solar Energy: Problems Solutions and Experiments,” “Optimization of Machining Parameters of Hard Porcelain on CNC Machine,” and “Solar Energy Systems: Thermal Analysis and Its Application.” Eighty of his papers have been published in various international and national journals and conferences. He is an active reviewer of prestigious journals like Solar Energy, Desalination, Desalination and Water Treatment, Journal of Thermal Engineering, etc. Dr. Sandeep Kumar is a professor at Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. He recently completed his post-doctoral research in sentiment analysis at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is an associate editor for Springer's Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences (HCIS) journal. He has published over a hundred research papers in various international journals/conferences and attended several national and international conferences and workshops. He has authored/edited fifteen books in the area of computer science published by Springer, Elsevier, and CRC Press.
