His work has been on platforms such as desktops, the web, mobile phones, IVRs, ATMs, and custom hardware.   Gavin’s research lies in the fields of human-computer interaction and child-computer interaction. He focuses on designing and evaluating technologies in a wide range of contexts, including gaming, education, and health. He also uses various methods including Participatory design, survey tools, and technologies including eye tracking, to improve end users’ experiences.
