Mario Party 4 is the latest installment in the popular party-game franchise, for Nintendo GameCube. This game includes 50 all-new mini events and numerous fully rendered 3D game boards. Players choose to play as one of their favorite Nintendo characters and compete in a series of contests. As in the other Mario Party games, players will role virtual dice, move their characters around the board, then beat opponents by winning various challenges like Tag Battle, and other multiplayer contests. There are several styles of gameplay including racing, target shooting, and games of chance. In addition, the Mini-Giant system lets gamers use items on the boards to grow bigger or smaller in order to access secret areas and events.
