Man bedenke: Seit der Wiederherstellung der Unabhängigkeit Estlands 1991 ist inzwischen ein längerer Zeitraum vergangen als die Periode der ersten Republik 1918 bis 1940/41 umfasste. Begonnen hat es mit aptierten sowjetischen Stempeln, den deutschen REINER-Geräten der staatlichen EESTI POST und darauf folgend die der Aktiengesellschaft AS EESTI POST.
Dies Handbuch versucht erstmals eine Klassifizierung nach 11 verschiedenen Stempeltypen und beschreibt alle mit zahlreichen Abbildungen. Umfangreiche Tabellen erfassen bekannten Stempel nach Kennbuchstaben seit dem 1.10.1991 bis jetzt. Eine Kurztabelle am Ende des Buches hilft beim Identifizieren der Stempel.

Nowadays the collecting of markings is common in philatelist circles and the time is ripe for a new handbook comprising all standard postal date cancellations used on the Estonian since the restoration of the Independence in 1991 up to now. Known postmarks are all accurately indicated with their index letters, enlarged with information about typing, duration of use, variations, markings of town quarters, philatelic counters and EESTI POSTMARK´s cancellations.
This classification is totally new, because there is no such systematisation available today. a shortened table of postmark types with page indication at the end of the book will assist you in identifying a postmark.
