Offers a balanced approach that links HR concepts to technology and demonstrates how HR professionals can apply these practices in their day-to-day work.
Today′s human resource departments play a vital role in helping organizations achieve their strategic objectives and gain a competitive edge. As technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, it′s imperative that organizations leverage human resource information systems (HRIS) to make better people decisions and manage talent more effectively.

Human Resource Information Systems: Basics, Applications, and Future Directions is a thorough, accessible introduction to the HRIS field. The Fourth Edition includes a new chapter on social media, exploring how organizations can use social networks to recruit and select the best candidates. A new HRIS Expert feature spotlights practitioners who share best practices and insights into HR professions.
