PC programmers use system calls, known as interrupts, from many different sources: MS-DOS, the ROM BIOS and various application program interfaces such as Windows. This CD-ROM provides coverage of over 7000 PC and network interrupt calls.
Uninterrupted Interrupts CD-ROM gives programmers electronic access to all system and network related interrupt calls as previously published in PC Interrupts, Second Edition, and Network Interrupts. This CD also contains information on over 700 new interrupts that have been added to the master list since publication of the books.Uninterrupted Interrupts uses Microsoft's Multimedia Viewer as its storage and retrieval engine--it's a fast, efficient, and flexible way to sift through a massive amount of information for specific details on various interrupts calls. Anyone with Windows and a CD-ROM drive can use the CD to find information in a variety of ways: * by following along with the material as it appears in both books * by locating a particular interrupt through the combined master index * by specifying specific search categories * by searching for words or phrases. Thousands of hypertext links throughout the CD allow you to jump quickly to cross-referenced material between sections and chapters and across both books.
Even if you bought both books, you'll need this CD for its convenience and ease of use as well as for the new material it contains--Uninterrupted Interrupts is the ultimate electronic reference to essential interrupts information. System Requirements: * A PC with at least a 386SX microchip (or better) with at least 4MB of RAM * Windows 3.1 or higher and a VGA adapter * CD-ROM drive 0201409666B04062001
