William Cook is an Anglo-German journalist based in London. He has been reporting from Germany for over thirty years for numerous British publications, including The Independent, The Spectator and Condé Nast Traveller. He also writes regularly for the travel pages of The Telegraph and since 2021 he has been the theatre critic of The Oldie magazine. The Fifteenth Man is his debut novel.
