In My Colourless World is not simply a book it is a meditation, a mirror, and a quiet companion for those who have walked through seasons of absence and silence. It is a work that asks us to pause, to listen, and to discover what remains when the distractions of colour, noise, and spectacle are stripped away.
Dr. Asher Kazengeza (A.K.) writes with a voice that is both intimate and universal. His words carry the weight of longing yet refuse despair; they acknowledge disappointment yet transform it into dignity. In these pages, solitude becomes a canvas, and patience becomes a brushstroke. What emerges is a portrait of resilience an exploration of how the human spirit continues to dream even when the world feels muted.
At its heart, In My Colourless World is about the paradox of emptiness: how the absence of colour can reveal hidden hues, how silence can amplify the faintest whispers of hope, and how longing itself can become a form of light. A.K. does not shy away from vulnerability. Instead, he embraces it as a source of strength, showing that clarity often arises not in moments of triumph but in the quiet endurance of waiting.

The prose is lyrical yet grounded, weaving together fragments of memory, desire, and imagination. Each chapter invites the reader to step into a landscape where emotions are distilled to their essence. There are no distractions here-only the raw textures of human experience. In this stripped-down world, tenderness becomes radiant, and even the smallest gestures of care shine with extraordinary brilliance.

Dr. Kazengeza's vision is not confined to the personal. His reflections extend outward, touching on the civic and communal dimensions of longing. He reminds us that our private struggles are never entirely private; they echo in the lives of others, shaping the way we build communities, workplaces, and systems. In this sense, In My Colourless World is both a personal meditation and a public offering-a call to imagine a world where clarity and compassion are ordinary, where patience and dignity are woven into the fabric of everyday life.

Readers will find themselves drawn into a rhythm that is contemplative yet hopeful. The book does not rush; it lingers, allowing space for reflection. It invites us to slow down, to breathe, and to recognize that even in the absence of colour, there is meaning. The journey is not about escaping the colourless world but about inhabiting it fully discovering the hidden beauty that emerges when we stop searching for spectacle and begin listening to silence.

Ultimately, In My Colourless World is a testament to endurance. It is a reminder that longing is not emptiness but a form of presence, that patience is not passivity but strength, and that clarity is not coldness but light. Through his words, Dr. Asher Kazengeza (A.K.) offers readers a gift: the courage to embrace vulnerability, the wisdom to find dignity in waiting, and the hope to continue dreaming even when the world feels stripped of its hues.

This is not just a book to be read it is a space to be entered, a silence to be shared, and a vision to be carried forward.

IN MY colourless world

Author’s Note

This book was never meant to be a declaration. It was meant to be a devotion. A slow unfolding of what love can teach us not just in romance, but in ritual, in repair, in the way we build our lives and our communities. It began with longing, with the girl of my dreams, and it grew into something larger than I could have anticipated: a meditation on tenderness as a civic practice, on emotional stewardship as public design, and on the quiet revolutions that begin in the heart.

I wrote this not to be understood, but to understand. Not to be seen, but to learn how to see. Each chapter was a way of naming what had gone unnamed in me what had been felt but not yet spoken, what had been carried but not yet shared. The love I never found, the tenderness I learned to practice, the unforeseen character who stretched my imagination, and the final truth—that even though she doesn’t know how much I love her, that love has shaped everything I now offer the world.

This is not a book of answers. It is a book of invitations. To listen more deeply. To design more gently. To love more courageously. To build systems that honour difference, rituals that hold grief, and relationships that make room for surprise. If you found yourself somewhere in these pages whether in the ache, the hope, the vision, or the quiet resolve then I thank you. You are part of the architecture now.

To the one who inspired this: you may never know what you taught me. But I carry it with grace. And I offer it forward

“The girl of my dreams”

like a scorched sun she comes from above, the light that shines and never fades, the morning bright that we all miss, the sun set we all want to see the girl of my dreams something that cannot be seen. Her presence it is like faith ignited in me, like a forced “force” she comes with pressure to and steals all my attention away. The first-time l saw her changed my life for the best in a colourless world now ignites a lot of colour and light the. ‘Night might be long, but it all takes patients for the day to come’.

l saw her, her light come from far away with her bright smile she knocks all that is in me. l am authoring this book to serve as a letter to the one girl that l am in love with.

Throughout my entire life falling for someone seemed way too impossible if l may say had many that came and passed which led me to believe l just wasn’t meant for the dating society it just wasn’t meant for me (“so l thought”) ,rejected by the ones l thought l was in love with ,well which all at the time was just a fling and l got to understand that love is one thing that is unpredictable . We try our absolute best to fall in love but if the time is not right it just won't happen and if the person is not right it just won't happen learned that the hard way.

During the year l had met this wonderful woman l don’t know if l should call her woman of girl.

THE MEET

IT is a very sunny day there l see rather a goddess walk past through me , in fear there l just passed my greetings (“Hi l was hoping l could talk to you “) with a death gaze there she standing looking at me and l have no idea what she is about to say .”Yes” she replied how can l be of help to you ? . IN this moment here l am already frozen because all l had was l was hoping l could speak with you. People l am scared here! but my mind is pushing rather l am confused of what has just happened here. Then with each moment l gradually can speak to her. Many of you might say true Love doesn’t exist but l tells you one thing you were all looking in all the wrong places. Then here comes a day that l meets my one true love this when l believed in something called love at first sight. Sy
he was wearing boxers, and, in that day, l needed her help of which l didn’t know l needed hers help.

In my colourless world, she appeared
The girl of my dreams.
Like a scorched sun descending from above,
She came wrapped in a light that shines eternally, a light that neither dims nor dies.
She is the morning brightness we long for when trapped in endless night,
The sunset that captures every heart
A beauty not easily seen, not easily defined.

Her presence is like faith reborn within me,
An unseen force pressing against my soul,
Demanding my attention, commanding my gaze.
She moves with the weight of meaning,
And when I first saw her, it was as if time paused to make room for something greater.
In a life painted in greyscale,
She brought light no, she brought colour.
A thousand hues burst into being the moment she smiled.

"The night might be long,
But all it takes is patience for the day to come."

I saw her before I understood what I was seeing.
From a distance, her light reached me
A soft warmth that cracked the cold shell I had been living in.
With just a smile, she shook the walls inside me,
And left something blooming in the ruins: hope.

This book is a letter,
A declaration for the one girl I love
The girl who made me believe again.

The Ones Before Her

Throughout my life, love always seemed like an unreachable idea,
A fantasy whispered in movies and songs.
I had met many faces that came and went,
Names I tried to hold on to, feelings that always faded.
Each encounter left a little more doubt in me,
Until I began to believe that maybe, love simply wasn’t meant for me.

I thought I had loved before,
But I now see those moments for what they were flings, illusions,
Attempts to find something deep in shallow waters.

Love is not something we choose.
It does not arrive when we call it,
And when the time is not right,
No amount of effort can force it to bloom.
I learned that truth the hard way
But it made meeting her even more profound.

The Meet

It was a bright, sunny day.
The kind of day that feels ordinary until it suddenly isn’t.
And there she was.

A goddess.
That’s the only way I can describe her
Walking toward me, light trailing behind her like a second skin.
I froze. My heart wasn’t ready.
I offered a shy greeting:
“Hi… I was hoping I could talk to you.”

She looked at me
Not with judgment, but with curiosity.
A calm, confident gaze that seemed to look right into me.
“Yes?” she replied, her voice like velvet.
“How can I be of help to you?”

And in that moment… I panicked.
I hadn’t thought that far ahead.
I only knew I wanted to speak with her.

I was scared,
My thoughts jumbled into silence,
But something in me maybe fate, maybe courage pushed me to stay.
With each passing second, I found the strength to speak.
And with each word exchanged, something beautiful began to grow

Love at First Sight

Many people say love at first sight is a myth.
I say they haven’t seen her.
I say they’ve been looking in all the wrong places.

Because when I saw her,
Something clicked.
It wasn’t just attraction it was knowing.
Knowing that something rare had just entered my life.

She wore simple clothes boxers, if I recall
But even then, she carried herself like royalty.
That day, I thought I needed her help with something,
But what I didn’t realize
Was how much I needed her light in my life/.

I still remember the first thing she gave me.
It wasn’t a flower or a hug.
It wasn’t wrapped in ribbon or sealed with a kiss.
It was something much deeper
She gave me a reason to believe again.

She gave me presence that feeling of being...
