It's been years since we dropped the first Public Domain, and looking back it feels like those early issues were just us testing the edges. Since then, we have pushed into every space we could reach: on the mats, on the streets, through collabs and drops, behind the lens, and now in these pages.

This book brings together our first three issues from 2019 to 2022, along with never-before-published content, rebuilt as one heavy piece carrying all the dust, grit, and marks we picked up along the way.

I started this project with a simple idea: to document where art, sport, and street culture crash into each other, and to give a voice to the people, known or not, who change the game and push the boundaries. Not as trends, not as content, but as lived experience. I am an art book lover. Over the past two decades, I have authored more than thirty of them, so turning this into an art book format just made sense. Over the years, the circle has grown. Inside, you will find never-before-published interviews, recent or pulled from the vault, with Rickson Gracie, who talks about the fight beyond the fight; Jake Adelstein, who has made a career digging where others do not dare; and Estevan Oriol, who has been showing the raw face of the streets long before anyone called it "street culture." Alongside them are a few more friends of the family: Laurenz, Melike, David, Dario, and more.

Public Domain has always been as much about what you see as what you read. The photography, the artwork, the layouts — they carry their own voice, one that hits as hard as any headline.

We did not put this together for nostalgia or coffee tables. We built it to last, to be carried, roughed up, and read until the spine gives out. The stories in here are not curated to please; they are here because they are real. What you take from them is yours to keep.

Welcome back to the Domain.
