Across the street, a yellow light in another window becomes an obsessive focus. Is it a fellow insomniac, or an observer? As paranoia mounts with every unknown sound, the line between prudent caution and a fractured mind begins to blur. The protagonist's constant checking of the lock cannot secure the one thing that is truly vulnerable: the lock inside.
