Magic is alive and well in the world, inside beings known as Majiks. By completing a Majik’s trial, a Witch can gain its power. However, only women can become Witches or use magical items. All that changes one day when a young man named Ichi turns the world on its head by defeating an infamous Majik and gaining its magical powers!
While Ichi and Team Desscaras face off against Togeice in the Majik-hunting contest, Ichi is stopped in his tracks by the worst murderous intent he has ever felt—the World-Hater Majik. This Majik is the number-one enemy of not only the Witches’ Association but all life, and they are staring Ichi square in the face. As Ichi fights the World-Hater Majik, Desscaras joins the fray, showing just why she is known as the most powerful Witch of their era. But will it be enough to save the townspeople and themselves before the World-Hater Majik destroys the entire region and everyone in it…including Desscaras, Ichi, their friends, and even Togeice and her team?!
Osamu Nishi started her manga career in 2011 with her one-shot Shonen K in Jump SQ., which won an honorable mention in the Jump SQ. Monthly Awards. Two years later, in 2013, she won the inaugural SQ. NEXT CUP with her one-shot Hotel Hellheim, which was later serialized in Jump SQ. in 2014. Her next series, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, started serialization in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion in 2017 and has a popular anime adaptation which is still ongoing to this day. In 2024 she began writing Ichi the Witch, which is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. Shiro Usazaki is an artist beloved for her dynamic and detailed style. She made her manga debut in 2017 with the one-shot Welcome to the Film Department of Asagaya Arts High School in Weekly Shonen Jump. The following year, in 2018, she began her first serialization as the artist of Act-Age. In addition to the serializations, she also collaborated on a handful of manga one-shots, various illustrations, such as cover art and light novel interiors, as well as some game-character designs. In 2024 she teamed up with Osamu Nishi to start the serialization as the artist of Ichi the Witch to the delight of her fans around the world.
