Chapter 41

***UNSTABLE!***

 

 

They both collided...

Roshan smiled "You are obviously taking it easy on me, Siera"

Siera smiled back. "You are holding back too".

She could of course tell the difference between the last time they collided and now

He had gotten a lot stronger compared to the time they last fought.

"I don't want you to hold back"  A clenched fist headed straight for Siera.

She neutralised the attack with a wave of her hand.

Roshan didn't have a weapon so he focused more on close contact attacks. He had not tested the limit of his strength yet

"Come on! Hit me!" He smirked at Siera.

Siera used the wind around her to give a boost in speed. She formed a wind blade by slashing her hands forward. It wasn't sharp at all. It was like a cannonball was fired instead. Roshan couldn't see the direction of the attack and it got him in the chest.

 

He only glided a few steps back before stopping.

 

"Did he just withstand an attack from our Princess?" A guy said watching the duel and it immediately drew attention.

"Yeah... he actually did" Someone widened his eyes in disbelief.

Siera was stunned but it lasted for a second. She fired another cannonball strike.

 

*Crystal Iris activated*

 

Roshan saw a faint blue slash heading directly to his face.

He crossed his hands across his face stopping the attack.

Siera fired another and she kept firing constantly increasing her speed. Roshan blocked the attacks at first till it became harder. Siera stopped after she had fired more than a dozen cannonball

Let's see you block this at once.

Roshan could see fifteen slashes heading straight from him. Annoyingly there was little spaces between the slashes, it would be harder for him to dodge this one

An idea instantly came to him.

Before the slashes could meet him, he focused his strength on his legs and like a spring, he went high jumping over the attacks.

Siera was speechless

The students were speechless

It was brilliant, rather than facing your fears, you could jump over them.

The attacks headed straight to the wall creating deep dents.

Roshan was on the ground and smiled "You think you are the only one that can use wind" He grinned mysteriously.

 

Siera didn't understand him "you have a wind ability?"

"I don't need an ability to use the wind"

Roshan started firing punches but he was punching the air

"I said it... this guy is a fraud! Look at him now" A guy said

"Exactly, why is he punching the air? Has he gone nuts?" another contributed his thoughts.

 

Roshan ignored them and kept on punching.

His speed slowly increased too

"I think you guys should take a closer look" A tall guy with glasses said while pushing his glasses back

"By punching the air at a constant strength and speed in the same direction and point, he is channelling a force that propells the wind in the direction he wants. Judging from the current airflow, his move is powerful enough to create a tornado if used by different people at different positions" The tall boy with glasses explained.

 

The girl beside him didn't understand what he meant at first until she felt a sudden pull. It was faint at first but it began to grow stronger

She wasn't the only one that felt it. It was like the air was being sucked in a certain direction.

 

It was heading straight for Roshan.

 

Roshan focused his punches on one point attacking at different angles. His moves were clear at first, now all that were left were afterimages of his fists.

 

The air began to gather to slowly form a vortex. Roshan gave it one last punch and it headed straight for Siera.

If she didn't protect herself. That strong wind would slam her straight into the wall

 

Kade watched the duel in awe "Let's call that move... Tornado Blast"

The wind elements began to gather and form a protective shield around her. The tornado blast was like Roshan's punches combined into one.

 

It collided on the protective barrier. It was like someone was punching the barrier simultaneously.

The shield started to have cracks and one last punch was made shattering the shield and Siera crashed to the wall as a result of the aftermath force

 

"Did that guy just make our Princess fall?"

"He isn't supposed to be an E grade!"

 

"But how is he so good without an ability?"

 

Siera came out from the girl shaped hole in the wall.

She was enjoying the fight. It was time to show him what she was made off.

Roshan thought that move would have ended it all but the girl doesn't seem to give up. She was full of pleasant surprises but he hoped it wouldn't be painful.

 

A huge whirlwind formed behind Siera while she rose into the air bearing a noble aura. She looked so pure and angelic in the eyes of the students who could not help but drool.

 

"It's our Princess!"

"Take him down, Siera!" The students ululated and cheered when they saw her making a powerful comeback

 

The strange thing was though the wind was blowing wild, it didn't affect the princess as her hair stayed calmly on her shoulders.

 

Roshan felt miniscule facing the huge whirlwind. His thoughts began to race on how to face the huge attack.

 

*Quest Received*

*A formidable opponent had been detected. Defeat opponent to receive Instant Level Up*

 

A message appeared in front of him.

 

He smiled, he had figured a way to level up without hunting. He could just challenge everyone to a duel.

 

Meanwhile the whirl wind was getting bigger. The students moved further away to avoid being blown away.

Slowly blades of wind appeared on the whirlwind and began to form while Siera was still on the whirlwind. Her eyes looked a little lost and unfocused. There was a slight hint of green in the corner of her eyes.

 

Roshan's eyes widened. He had told her to go all out but he didn't mean she should obliterate him. He still had some obligations and goals to fulfill in this life. Wait... why was he suddenly thinking about his life. If he didn't find a way out of this. There would be no life to think of

 

Kade and Bahr immediately backed away with fear. Someone was seriously going to get hurt.

 

"He seriously deserves what he is about to get" One of the students. He had a curly grey coloured hair. He was one of Piro's followers. His name was Bryan

 

"I think something is wrong..." His friend was obviously smarter than him as he subconsciously walked further back into the room.

"I can't wait to see what happens next" another guy commented. He stood beside the girl with the yellow headband on her head.

 

*Warning!!*

*Unstable energy detected!*

*Unstable energy detected!*

 

The warning messages started blinking endlessly in front of Roshan.

 

"Damn it... I can see it. She is definitely not stable."

 

Siera spread her arms wide. She could see what was happening but it felt like she couldn't control any part of her body. It was happening again.

 

She was a bit glad that it wasn't as intense as before.

 

Suddenly the energy accumulation stopped

Roshan immediately felt a threatening case of crisis. He was used to hunting in the forest so he was rather familiar with his senses and something big was about to happen

 

"Everybody get back now!" He yelled.

The students looked at him in confusion. What the hell was he yelling for?

 

Bahr knew something was wrong and he signalled to Kade.

 

They immediately went further back. It wasn't their business if others decided to be foolish. They were not some heroes  to go on saving people. Roshan had tried his best to warn them and it was their choice to heed or not.

 

Siera raised her hand and clenched her fist.

 

The sense of crisis that Roshan felt kept increasing. Who was he to think that he had improved. He could tell that even this energy was a lot more than Siera could handle as the veins on the side of her head were very obvious.

 

It was like time had stopped.

The door to the gym suddenly flung open at the same time, Siera opened her fist.

"Commander, the Daegi is heading for Base 5!" A young man with freckles stood straight in front of a middle aged man who was sitting in a desk.

The young man, a Lieutenant had been placed in charge of a group of people ordered to observe the movement of the wandering destruction that was responsible for the chaos in most of the human shelters.

 

They had spotted a change in direction of the evolved Daegi. They were responsible for warning every base leaders of the movement.

Now that a strange movement was made. Everyone deserved to know

 

"Ok! You may take your leave" The man said without looking up from the file he was reading. It was obvious he did not take the information seriously.

 

The soldier was confused.

"Commander, are we not going to inform the Base of the impending danger?" He asked with raised brows.

We are talking about our fellow humans here. At least you should think about the young children in the base

"I don't remember taking an...
