Where did it all come from?

House of Mirrors

Did you know that in a city called Cadiz in Spain, there is a very interesting and well-known urban legend that many have claimed to be one of the scariest urban legends in the world? this legend is called the house of mirrors.

This story begins with an admiral who lives in a very luxurious mansion with his wife and beautiful daughter. This admiral is a person who is very loyal to his country and his work, he always sails from one port to another port around the world to do his job. He was very happy living with his wife and daughter, the admiral who loved his daughter would always feel sad when he had to sail. Therefore, every time he wanted to go sailing, he would hug her daughter very tightly. Her daughter always hardly let her father go because she loved him so much. Knowing that his daughter was very fond of collecting beautiful mirror, the admiral always persuaded her by promising that he would bring home a beautiful mirror as a gift if his daughter allowed him to go sailing. The agreement has been going on for a very long time, from year to year until the mansion is filled with a lot of beautiful and exotic mirrors.

One day, the admiral had to travel very far to a country. As usual, he hugged his daughter after they had a farewell party, the admiral promised that he would come home with a very beautiful gift of mirror for his daughter, mirror that was different from usual. Day after day after his departure, apparently something that should not have happened finally happened in the house.

Unusually, one night the admiral's wife was heard having a big fight with her daughter, the longer the situation got more chaotic and the wife's emotions were getting out of control. The rumor says it was caused by the wife's jealousy of her daughter. Every day, she had to look at her reflection in the mirrors all over the house, and all she saw was a wrinkled old woman, it made her very afraid that her husband would not love her anymore. She was very jealous of the pretty image that her daughter reflected. That's what makes the wife ultimately frustrated.

Blinded with jealousy, she went to buy a poison to kill her own daughter by poisoning her dinner. When the admiral came home, the wife told her husband with a very sad expression that her son had died of an illness. How frustrated the admiral was that he couldn't stop crying regretting his departure. He was devastated by this very sad news and he couldn't even give his last gift of mirror to his daughter. One night, when he was sad and looked in the mirrors of his house, suddenly the shadow of his daughter appeared between the mirrors, telling him everything that happened in the house while he was sailing.

“It is said that, mirror is a connecting medium between our world and the world of spirits”

Knowing what actually happened, the admiral became very, very angry! He immediately confronted and reported his wife to the police.

After that incident, the mansion became quiet and no more sounds of happiness could be heard there. After that, many people said that they saw very strange appearances in the house, not infrequently they heard crying, angry and frustrated voices from the top floor of the mansion. Since then, no one dared to stay there. The mansion was abandoned for so many years with the dark mystery remains there.

Allright, that is all about the urban legend, let’s go back to reality...

So...that's the story Robert read to his girlfriend Cicilia in a park in the city of Madrid, they are two foreign students studying in Spain. Their relationship is complicated, Robert admits that Cicilia has a very close relationship with him, but Cicilia says instead that they are just friends, nothing more. This is very common in Asia. Robert must have thought, by telling horror stories like that, Cicilia would get scared and fall into his arms, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Cicilia left because she was bored with the story and Robert, who didn't give up on the situation, tried to invite her to dinner at a very romantic local restaurant, the goal was to get Cicilia excited again that night.

In the middle of a nice dinner, where the bonfire made them feel warm, they saw the snow falling from the window, then Robert stood up to take his order. As he was walking suddenly a young man accidentally bumped into him and apologized to him. As a result, eventually the young man joined Robert and Cicilia, they became friends and this young man started telling Robert and Cicilia interesting things about Madrid.

Learning that Robert had previously done research related to the urban legend of the house of mirrors in Cadiz, the young man he just met said that if they really wanted to see the spooky house of mirrors, he could take them to that place, maybe not in Cadiz but there's a house of mirrors that's pretty spooky too. Robert was very confused by the offer. He had never heard that there was a similar house of mirrors nearby. On the other hand, Cicilia looked very enthusiastic and moreover the young man who was eventually revealed his name as Eddy, told that the rumor says there is a serial killer living in the house of mirrors and until now he has not been caught.

Finally, that night the three of them decided to visit the house of mirrors he was talking about. After driving a vehicle about a few kilometers away, they finally arrived at a location, how shocked they were after getting out of the car to see that the house of mirrors that was supposed to be scary earlier was actually so shining, lots of light and screaming came from inside the house...the scream sounds like...

“Is this really the house of mirrors that they are going to visit?”

Ups......it turned out to be the night club for adults.

"Sorry, I need to meet my friend while I'm inside," said Eddy. Well, it turns out the trip wasn't over yet, they got back into the car and had a long journey until they finally arrived at an old abandoned house of mirrors. Of course, it is very scary, because there is no electricity at all there so they have to use a flashlight to get into it. Then Robert said “shouldn't we just go home? I feel very uncomfortable being here.” But Cicilia, who still wanted to enter, replied “you are really a coward, are you even a man?” So, to prove his manhood in front of Cicilia, Robert entered it first. The three of them entered the big house, they saw lots of beautiful mirrors in it and this amazed them so much that they finally decided to explore the house.

They took a walk around the house, then went up to the second floor to see the empty rooms there. Cicilia was very enthusiastic to enter the last room at the corner. She found a bed for children and various kinds of toys scattered around there, apparently the room was a children's room. She slowly looked out of the house through the window, much to her surprise to see the figure of a person standing in the darkness beside a shady tree, looking straight at her. Cicilia became scared and couldn't move her foot, she kept looking at the shadowy figure to see if it was really a human figure, suddenly the figure made a move, apparently it was a man who had just urinated on the tree.

But this made cicilia more scared and immediately ran outside to call her friends, she thought that it might be the killer that the police are looking for and if that was true, then the lives of the three teenagers were in serious danger. She tried to find Robert and Eddy but the two of them were nowhere to be seen, she kept looking and looking for the others until in an alley.... she suddenly heard very scary heavy footsteps coming closer to her.... thud......thud......She tried to find out where the sound was coming from, the more she felt it, the more she knew that the voice was coming from...behind her! ROAR! It was Robert wearing a scary mask, shouted to scare Cicilia. Cicilia who was shocked then hit Robert on the nose and slammed him on the floor.

“Apparently Cicilia had practiced martial arts before”

From different angle, Eddy came and was shocked to see what happened, he scolded Robert and said that it wasn't funny, they started a small argument because of that. Meanwhile Cicilia wanted to explain what she just saw but none of them paid attention. Few seconds after that, there was the sound of footsteps from a higher floor, this time the three of them heard it together. They really wanted to run out of there, but Cicilia seemed even more curious and wanted to check who the person on the top floor was, maybe it was the serial killer that people talk about? Was it possible that he had been standing in the tree and had now come in wanting to kill them all? That was what Cicilia had in mind.

Therefore, they turned on their cell phones and tried to record everything that happened. Cicilia immediately turned on her cell phone and started live streaming on social media. It seemed that Cicilia was very smart to take advantage of the situation in order to get viewers. Meanwhile, to support his girlfriend, Robert also opened his cellphone and entered social media for live streaming, but he pressed the wrong button and opened a live streaming channel for adults, a sexy woman greeted Robert because it turned out that Robert was a loyal visitor who always watch her every night, well...every human being has their own secrets.

Back to the story, they finally went up there to see where the voice came from. They tried to check the rooms one by one. Cicilia started taking any object that could be used as a weapon to defend herself, so she took a stick, Eddy took a broom and Robert took a spoon.... They heard a voice...
