Nkanyezi, the main character develops a crush for her school mate Makhosazana. At first he was scared but as time went on they started dating and got married

classroom door, and stepped inside. The room was empty except her, sitting alone near the back, lost in thought. She looked up,our

eyes met, and my nerves spiked.

"Hi " I said softly, trying to sound casual. She smiled slightly, seemingly surprised by my sudden appearance. "Hi..." I walked closer, my feet feeling heavy with anticipation. 'I'm...from Grade 9," I added, stating the obvious, trying to break the ice. She chuckled lightly. "I guessed that. I'm Makhosazana"she replied softly. "My name is...Nkanyezi," I replied, my voice barely above whisper. We stood there fora moment, exchanging gentle smiles. I felt like I'd known her forever. "What brings you to my classroom?" Makhosazana asked, curiosity sparking in her eyes. I shrugged, playing it cool." Just needed a break from my own class. Yours looks quieter." Makhosazana laughed softly. " It usually is. Except when our teacher assigns group work."

We talked for a few more minutes - about school subjects, favourite hobbies and music. I was surprised by how easy it was to converse with her. Our words flowed smoothly, like we had known each other for years. I found myself opening up, sharing stories and laughter with her. The classroom, once a place of solitude, felt warmer with her presence. As we chatted, I noticed the way her eyes light upwhen she talked about her favourite books. Her passion was infectious, and I found myself wanting to know more about her interest. I asked her about her favorite authors, and she smiled, launching into a discussion about the latest novels she had read. I listened in‐ tently, captivated by her enthusiasm.

The minutes ticked by and before I knew it, the break was almost over. I did not want our conversation to end, but I knew I had to return to my class. " I should probably get going," I said reluctantly. Makhosazana nodded understandingly. "Yeah, me too. It was nice talking to you, Nkanyezi." I smiled feeling a sense of accomplishment . " Likewise, Makhosazana." We exchanged smiles and I turned to leave, feel‐ ing a little more confident than when I entered the classroom. As I walked out, I couldn't help but wonder what other conversations we'd have in the future. The rest of the day passed slowly, my mind wandering back to our conversation.

I replayed our words, analyzing every detail. I couldn't shake the feeling that I had found someone special, someone who understood me in a way that few others did. As the days went by, I found myself looking forward to seeing Makhosazana. We'd exchange smiles in the halfways, and occasionally, we'd talk during breaks. Our conversation grew longer, and I discovered more about her interests and pas‐ sions. I was drawn to her kindness, her intelligence, and her laughter. I realized that I had developed feelings for her, feelings that went beyond friendship. But I was hesitant to express them, fearing that I might ruin our budding connection. Instead, I focused on getting to know her better, cherishing our conversation and the moments we shared.

Our talks became a highlight of my day, a reminder that there was more to life that just school and routine. Makhosazana brought light into my world, and I was grateful for her presence. As time passed, I knew that I'd always treasure the memory of our first conversation, the moment when everything changed. In the days that followed, our friendship blossomed. We would study together, explore the school grounds, and share stories about our lives. I felt like I'd found a kindness spirit, someone who understood me without judgment. Makhosazana was more than just a friend ; she was a confidante, a partner in laughter and adventure.

As I looked back on that first conversation, I realized that it was more than just a chance encounter. It was the start of something spe‐ cial,...
