Chapter 7 ATTACKED

Kai’s POV

I saw Ty’s majestic dragon for the first time and for a moment my heart stopped beating when I watched his wolf fall from the cliff towards the volcanic lava base below.

I thought for a moment that I had lost him for life and an involuntary howl of pain escaped from my wolf.

It proved to be a blunderous move because, as soon as Ty’s beautiful dragon form flew away in the fire coloured sky, I sensed unwanted presences behind me.

That stinking smell meant only one thing- ROGUES!

Shit.

The last thing that I needed after my mate’s wordless rejection was a gruesome war with an army of fucking rogue wolves.

Where the hell did so many rogue wolves come from and why didn’t the scouts and trackers not detect them yet.

I was cornered at the edge of the cliff and in front of me stood at least fifty strong rogues.

I was surely at a disadvantageous position and the dangerously wolfsbane poisoned claws were adding to my worries.

The thought of being clawed with those furiously painful nails made me holler in desperate need of help and I knew the pack must have heard me and tracked my location by now.

I just needed to stall these bastards for at least 10 minutes before help came in but how was I going to fight these bloodthirsty monsters on my own?

If I were not standing on the edge of a cliff, I would have defeated these motherfuckers on my own but a slight push from them meant death and if these rogues had a bit of common sense, they could finish me off in seconds.

Soon, I found myself hurling away all incoming wolves into the fires below and by the time, I reached the halfway mark, I could feel my wolf heal painfully slowly as poisoned claws had managed to dig in, in my fur and limbs.    

I still had dozens of rogues to take care of but my body was giving up on me already. The dosage of wolfsbane in my body must have reached higher levels and if it were not for my military training, I would have been long dead.

Suddenly, I felt dizzy and could no longer support my weight. I lay on the ground sideways with half closed eyes, whimpering and yelping in pain.

I could see the rogue wolves smirk and without wasting time, they hurled themselves on me.

I waited for the painful impact of their attack but none came.

Instead, a loud, deafening screech rang through the air and I saw the majestically huge dragon figure of my mate stand in front of me and wildly attack the rogues.

I could feel the fear of the rogues even in my numb state and saying that they were scared was a huge understatement. They could see death in front of their eyes and before they knew it, Ty had rampaged into their ranks and destroyed them mercilessly.

It seemed like an inner volcano of rage had burst into flames in Ty as he ruthlessly decimated the entire rogue army in no time.

After, he ended up tearing away the last wolf to pieces and throwing his lifeless corpse in the fire below, he turned to me and his burning red eyes suddenly turned into sad, black eyes as he watched me whimper in pain.

I tried to claw out the poison from my body on my own but it seemed like my limbs had given up on me and sadly, I couldn’t shift back anymore.

Suddenly, I felt Dad Victor’s presence along with the hunters but before they could approach me, Ty picked me up in his talons and flew off away from them.

“Ty,” I mumbled in my mindlink weakly. I don’t know if he could hear me. “I love you,” I said and started to drift off to dark blackness but before I could completely shut my eyes, he threw me against the rocks of a mountain peak and I winced in pain as my flesh tore in various spots.

I could feel the silvery poison oogle out of my skin from the cuts produced by Ty’s move. He shifted into his human form and clawed out the poison quickly before it reached my vitals. As I started to feel better, my wolf shifted back to my human form and I could feel my wounds starting to heal faster.

“I-I a-am s-sorry,” I kept chanting and sobbing throughout the time he worked his way on my body. He kept a hard expression but I knew he could feel my pain too as we were mates.

“I-I didn’t k-know y-you were going,” I continued somehow. “Dad Victor had taken me away with him that night,” I breathlessly panted as he continued to claw out the poison from my abdomen.

“Please forgive me, Ty,” I cried. If my military compatriots would have seen me crying and begging, they would have surely thought me to be a duplicate but I was ready to show my vulnerability to my mate at this time.

I was desperate to get him back.

I needed him and I loved him.

“Ty, p-please d-don’t leave m- …. ,” I was cut off mid sentence when I felt soft, lusciously full lips slam against mine and soon I was entangled in a fiercely passionate kiss that left me whimpering when my lips lost contact with his.

“I won’t leave you ever again, Kai. I promise,” Ty said and kissed me again hungrily. “I - (kiss) - missed - (kiss) - you - (kiss) - a lot  - (kiss) - baby,” he mumbled in between the kisses.

My body started regain its lost strength and soon I was feverishly kissing him back. My mate’s presence and acceptance helped my wolf to heal too and soon we were as good as new.

After making out with each other for five year’s worth of time, we finally let go of each other and gasped for air while panting breathlessly.

“I missed you too, Ty. It was like hell without you,” I sobbed in his chest.

He took me in his lap and lifted my chin with his two fingers and pecked on my lips.

“It was hell for me too. I guess I was angry with myself more than you, Kai. I acted on impulse and did not even try to understand the matter or talk to you but when I realized this, it was too fucking late and I was sitting in another continent at the opposite end of the planet by then,” he said as he nuzzled his face in the crook of my neck.

“I was so glad when I found out that, that honey and vanilla dust smell belonged to you by the lake,” I murmured.

“I am sorry, baby. I was an ass to leave you,” Ty said as he peppered kisses along my jaw, making me moan. He called me baby! If someone else would have called me that, then I would have smacked his face but this endearment coming from Ty made me feel inexpressible feelings of love.

“Shush Ty. Don’t apologize. You were never at faultaahh - aa-aaahhhhh,” I moaned out loud when he sucked my Adam’s Apple!

“Alpha Victor did not look pleased when I took you away, baby. I can feel his presence in this area. Let’s take you to the infirmary before I decide to devour you here,” he chuckled.

I smacked his shoulder and that’s when I saw his gloriously magnificent dragon inked on his arm.

I traced my fingers over the tattoo while Ty watched me intently.

“It’s beautiful!” I whispered and looked back into his deep, ebony black eyes.

“Thanks?” he chuckled and kissed me one last time before helping me stand up on my twos.

We had been naked all this while and our hard-ons were hard to miss.

I felt so embarrassed but Ty chuckled and pulled me in his arms. He nipped my neck making me throw back my head and he sucked and bit at every part of my skin covering my neck pipes, turning me into a moaning mess.

“Ty, y-you a-are aa-aaahhhhh,” I groaned as he bit behind my ear, making me hiss in pain and pleasure.

“Ok baby, let’s take you back before I finish the mating process here,” he chuckled. “Also, your Dad will have my head if I don’t return you. I can hear the hunters calling out for you,” he said before he shifted into his massive dragon form.

I can keep watching his dragon for life non stop. It is too enchanting when you don’t anger him. seour, no one would want to be at the other end of his wrath. I had seen that dangerous side of his, just moments ago.

Even the souls of the rogues will think twice before messing with him in another lifetime.

Ty screeched and lowered his back, gesturing me to sit on his back.

Without much ado, I hopped on his back and clung to his soft, slender neck. His dragon body was scaled yet it felt like a mass of cotton and I could feel the tingles while touching him.

I saw Dad V watch us fly over them and I could tell that every man standing below was in awe while they watched Ty fly effortlessly with his strong wings spread out and well sculpted body maneuver through the cliffs.

I could feel in my gut that he wanted to tease Dad V and I was right when he suddenly rolled himself upside down, making me lose balance and free fall.

I could hear Dad V scream but I knew Ty was just playing so I didn’t panic mid air and soon enough he caught me in his talons and continued to flap his way through to reach the pack land.

“You are still the same mischievous devil, Ty,” I chuckled.

“You turned me into one,” Ty mindlinked me, making me laugh.

He took me directly infront of the pack house’s infirmary and soon enough the doctors were wheeling me in the emergency room. Why the fuck are they taking me there? It’s not like I am dying. Ty already removed the poison.

Such hopelessly scared docs.

As they wheeled me inside, I could see the pack members hypnotized in Ty’s dragon’s direction and if their jaws could hit the ground, they would have been lying everywhere on the land.

Every pack member was checking him out and I could see the mateless and some of the mated wolves drool on seeing him when he shifted back to his human form.
